The Property Manager of the Year award recognizes an IPOANS member’s Property Manager who demonstrates innovation, teamwork, leadership skills, and excellence by continuously going above and beyond their duties.

“Ashley Morine is considered our Skyline Living ambassador in Nova Scotia and was a natural choice for our nomination,” said BJ Santavy, Vice President, Skyline Living. “Her comprehensive knowledge of the area and familiarity with the Nova Scotia Residential Tenancies Act has been extremely beneficial in assisting our understanding of the differences in property management law in Nova Scotia.”

“We were so impressed by her remarkable results through rallying her team to participate in charitable and environmental initiatives that give back to the Halifax and Dartmouth communities.” Said Donna Van Luven, Regional Director, Skyline Living. “For example, for our 2021 Spring Hope Food Drive, Ashley’s team donated 1232.4 lbs of food and essential items for the local programs in Nova Scotia.

Watching the event virtually from The Ashton with her site staff and fellow finalist Diana Grover, Resident Manager, Ashley shared that “It felt exciting to be nominated, it’s nice to have your hard work recognized.”

Always one to share accolades, she noted “I have had lots of help by having a strong team who can take care of business. We have a respectful and trusting relationship and I love that the site staff get involved, they don’t hesitate to decorate for holidays and enjoy themselves when interacting with tenants. They are kind, and have big hearts, and it shows.”

The finalists and winners were announced on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at IPOANS' annual Innovation and Excellence Awards Presentation, which was held virtually again due to the pandemic.
