North Bay

North Bay, Ontario is located on Lake Nipissing in Northeastern Ontario of approximately 55,000 people. The city is at the junction of two major highways, 11 and 17, which head north and east, respectively, around Algonquin Provincial Park. This highway access makes North Bay one of the more accessible cities in Northern Ontario.

North Bay was named 2007’s Kraft Hockeyville, and with good reason: at least 15 past and present NHL players have called it home. Multiple Olympians, world champion skiers, and Sam Jacks, the inventor of ringette, round out North Bay’s reputation as a winter sports hub. Mike Harris, former premier of Ontario, grew up in North Bay.
