Skyline Takes Home Two RHPNS Awards for 2026
[Guelph, Ontario – May 20, 2026]
Skyline received top honours in two categories at the 2026 Rental Housing Providers of Nova Scotia (RHPNS) Innovation and Excellence awards, recognizing our commitment to outstanding resident service and giving back to the community.
Leasing Person of the Year
Gaelyn Mcleod, Lifestyle Rental Consultant – Halifax, Skyline Living
Gaelyn was named 2026 Leasing Person of the Year for her exceptional care, responsiveness, and support for residents across our Halifax-area communities.
Gaelyn is known for making the leasing experience easy, welcoming, and stress‑free, from the first call to move‑in and beyond. Her people‑first approach has helped residents feel supported while building strong, connected communities.
“The level of care Gaelyn provides for residents is reflected in the positive way they experience our Halifax communities at every step of the leasing process,” said Maria Duckett, Skyline Living’s Vice President, National Property Operations.
“She continually sets a high standard for what it looks like to lease a property thoughtfully, efficiently, and in a way that puts residents first.”
Community Service award
Skyline also received the 2026 Community Service award for our ongoing efforts to support the communities where our residents live, in Nova Scotia and across Canada.
Through food drives, fundraising walks, volunteer events, and partnerships with local charities, we focus on social issues that matter to our residents, neighbours, and greater communities, including housing stability, food security, and mental well‑being. In 2025, our charitable efforts in Nova Scotia included support for organizations like Souls Harbour Rescue Mission, Feed Nova Scotia, and HomeBridge Youth Society.
“As a housing provider, we believe strong communities start with caring for the people who live in them, and taking meaningful, measurable action to support them,” said Jason Ashdown, Skyline’s Co-Founder and Chief Sustainability Officer.
“This award reflects the pivotal work our teams do to give back and support the communities our residents call home.”
We are proud to have earned additional industry recognition from RHPNS and other industry organizations over the years for strong on‑site leadership, community involvement, and exceptional property management, reflecting our ongoing focus on resident experience.
